Friends of the SMU Libraries will present author Thomas Mallon, who will talk about his new novel, Landfall. From a master of the historical novel, whose fiction unfolds with the urgency of a thriller, Mallon recalls the tumultuous, witty and sad, chronicle of George W. Bush's second term.

The 6 pm event is free and open to the public. A 5:30 pm reception, by reservation only, is $30 per person and includes a copy of the book. For more information and reservations, go to www.smu.edu/friends. Books will be available for purchase and there will be a book signing following the program.
