CASETA and The MAC have partnered to bring Katie Robinson Edwards, Ph.D., to Dallas for Modern Dialogues in Texas Art.
Dr. Edwards will present an amply illustrated lecture that complements her book, Midcentury Modern Art in Texas. With Everett Spruce's 1936 painting "Mending the Rock Fence" as a starting and ending point, this lecture identifies key moments in Texas regionalism and modernism that represent fruitful communication between artists and generations.
A book signing will follow the lecture.
