Retreet, a Dallas based tree-planting organization, will host a fundraiser at Craft & Growler Beer Filling Station. From 5-8pm, $1 of every pint sold will be donated in support of the upcoming OKC Retreet, where volunteers will plant 160 trees at 80 home sites destroyed by a tornado in 2013.

In May 2013, an EF5 tornado struck Moore, Oklahoma, causing 24 fatalities and destroying over 1,000 homes, turning many of the town’s mature trees to mere rubble. Alongside partners Arbor Day Foundation, Tree Bank Foundation, City of Moore and Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, Retreet will lead volunteers in replanting trees for residents of Moore who have or are currently rebuilding their community in the wake of disaster.
