Theatre Arlington will present the heartwarming tale of Tiny Tim, Ebenezer Scrooge and all of his mysterious guests in A Christmas Carol: Scrooge and Marley. Charles Dickens' classic tale of a cold-hearted and greedy life transforming before our eyes into a generous and kind soul is brilliantly adapted by Israel Horovitz. As Horovitz was deciding just how to bring this masterpiece to life on the stage and yet stay true to the beauty of Dickens’ words, he realized that Jacob Marley’s ghost is the natural storyteller of the tale. The addition of Jacob Marley as the narrator provides the means to add inventive theatrical elements and fantastic special effects to a traditional holiday favorite.
