Presented by literary arts nonprofit WordSpace Dallas, Lit Hop offers an entire month of literary events highlighting seasoned veterans and up-and-comers in the Texas literary scene. The festival includes everything from a star-studded opening event to a pub crawl-inspired hop of Dallas’ best arts and craft beer destinations.

The month kicks off on Saturday, April 6 with One Page Salon at the Wild Detectives. Featuring three of the metroplex’s top literary talents, One Page Salon will feature writer and SMU instructor Heather Harper Ellett, fiction wordsmith and well-published poet Bonnie Jo Stufflebeam, and accomplished Austin-based author-screenwriter Owen Egerton presenting a series of readings from their latest work.

Following One Page Salon, the Dallas Young Makers Club will join WordSpace for dual kick-off events on Saturday, April 13. After the Dallas Young Makers Club plies their creative crafts at the Central Library, the Performance Showcase lights up Deep Ellum that evening.

Lit Hop will move on to fun and festive pub and book store crawls featuring poets and writers from across Dallas. There will be two separate crawls - one in Oak Cliff on Saturday, April 20, and one in Expo Park on Saturday, April 27.
