The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two burglary suspects in the theft of more than $100,000 in jewelry and other valuables at a ritzy Uptown hotel.

According to the police, on March 10, between the hours of 3:10 am and 9 pm, two suspects entered two rooms without consent at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel at 2121 McKinney Ave.

Both rooms were part of a large wedding party and the two suspects can be seen on video, obtained from the hotel's surveillance camera, leaving with property.

Suspect #1 is wearing a blue and white ball cap and carrying a canned drink in his hand, strolling casually along the back hallway as if he knows exactly where he's going.

Suspect #2 comes along a few seconds later, carrying a plastic tub full of clothes and gear. He's wearing a polo-style shirt, with close-cropped hair and has an "I work out a lot at the gym" physique. Like Suspect #1, he seems not at all rushed or concerned.

According to the police report, there was no forced entry into the rooms and a large amount of jewelry, cash, and credit cards was taken.

The theft drew media coverage, including a story by the Daily Mail. According to Fox 4, bride Jeanette Engler left a large amount of jewelry in her room while attending her rehearsal dinner. When she got back to her room, she said she found it ransacked, and her possessions were gone.

The list of items stolen included her engagement ring, wedding rings, a sapphire and diamond ring, Chanel earrings for her bridesmaids, a Chanel necklace for her wedding planner, and a Gucci wallet. Engler estimated the total value at more than $100,000.

If anyone has any information about this offense, they are asked to contact Detective Keller at 214-670-5053 or Crime Stoppers at 214-373-TIPS.
