There are not many reasons we’d go to Neiman Marcus Downtown and not shop. But this year marks the very first time the holiday window crawl is open to adults — so we’ve changed our thinking.
The annual holiday event attracts thousands of kids, who crawl through the ornate holiday windows of the beloved landmark department store. After many adults inquired about crawling through the tubes, Neiman Marcus complied. So, beginning November 29, there will be four separate adult-only crawls, continuing on December 6, 13 and 20,from 5-7 pm. Because the store is open late for the holidays, you can still sneak in some shopping.
The store is requesting a minimum $20 donation upon entry, which benefits the North Texas Food Bank. (The children’s crawl is gratis.) And although Neiman’s can’t say it, there will be complimentary “beverages” served at the espresso bar — that is, if you make it through.
Because 100 percent of the proceeds goes to the food bank, we’re going to let our hair down, allow our inner child to come out and ogle at the holiday windows — from the inside.
