Ballpark Eats
Texas Rangers ballpark menu lays it on pretty thick for 2016 season
It’s hard to top the news of a vegan cart at Globe Life Park in Arlington, but the ballpark has a full menu of new eats for Texas Rangers games in 2016. There are outrageous sandwiches, sno-cones, and hot dogs flavored with Cheetos.
The Wicked Pig is a sandwich with pulled pork on a Hawaiian roll with Danish bacon, sausage, prosciutto, ham, barbecue sauce, cole slaw, and pork rinds. It’s $27 and located at the 557 Smokehouse in section 49.
A Flamin’ Hot Cheetos Dog is a beef hot dog topped with Flamin’ Hot Cheetos-infused nacho cheese and sprinkled with more Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. It’s $10.50 and located at American Dog stands in sections 22 and 48.
The Chicken & Donut Skewer is a 12-inch skewer of doughnut holes and fried chicken drizzled with Buffalo honey sauce. It’s $12, and you can get it at Flew the Coop in section 50.
The vegan menu sounds pretty great by comparison. It’s a vegan-themed portable cart featuring foods with no animal byproducts. Offerings include the Southwest black bean burger, vegan nachos, hot dog, jerky, chili, spinach wrap, salad, and fruit. It’s located in section 16.
Other options include a $6 jumbo hot dog, pretzels with beer cheese for $7.50, Bahama Buck's SnoBlast in raspberry and cherry flavors for $6, brisket loaded fries for $9.50, and a $16 panino with turkey, spinach, provolone cheese, and Sriracha aioli.
Food in the suites includes a Gulf Coast raw bar with crab claws, bay scallops (are those from the Gulf?), and smoked salmon (is that from the Gulf?), a turkey club, and rocky road bread pudding.
