There's an exciting new American craft beer bar and restaurant concept coming to town: Called Beerhead Bar & Eatery, it will make its official Texas debut with a location in Plano, at 5805 Preston Rd., just below Spring Creek Parkway.
According to a release, it will open in spring 2020.
Beerhead was founded in 2012 under the original name of The Beer Market, with an emphasis on beer. They subsequently added a menu of upscale bar food, and were reborn as Beerhead. They offer a rotating selection of more than 400 brands of locally and regionally brewed beer, spirits, wine, and locally sourced food.
The concept began franchising in 2015, in an effort to expand its "favorite local beer bar" vibe to other communities, breweries, and distilleries.
Bringing Beerhead to Texas are cousins Ashish and Anthony Patel, who were introduced to Beerhead by Ashish's cousin, Krupal Patel, the owner of the Beerhead location in Schaumburg, Illinois.
The Plano location is the first of three that will open in the state under the agreement.
Co-founder Greg Goodrich says they're excited to reach a new customer base in Texas, while Ashish Patel says that their familiarity with the concept was a deciding factor.
"Knowing and appreciating the brand early on, we are looking forward to bringing Beerhead Bar & Eatery into Texas for the first time," Ashish says. "We are extremely excited to partner with Texas breweries and bring the North Texas flair we all love into our location. Seeing the success of my cousin in the Chicago area, we hope to mimic that in Texas."
Menu items include:
- Beer Brisket Burger, with beer-infused brisket, smoked cheddar, Beerhead Awesome Sauce, greens, and tomatoes on an artisan bun
- Pico Just-in-Queso featuring toasted pita chips accompanied by queso dip with Hatch chili peppers, poblano peppers, jalapeño peppers, and white cheddar; and pico de gallo with corn, tomatoes, red onions, cilantro, and jalapeño peppers
- Pork Belly Mac ‘n Cheese, with cavatappi pasta, pork belly, New Belgium craft beer cheese, smoked cheddar, panko bread crumbs, and green onions
- Barbarian Pretzel, with sea salt, dark ale beer mustard dip, New Belgium craft beer cheese, and Beerhead Awesome Sauce
Tatchos are tater tots, with New Belgium craft beer cheese, sour cream, pico de gallo, house pickled jalapeños, and a choice of garden chipotle chili or chicken breast.
There are also sandwiches, salads, pizzas, and a big brunch menu with a notable dish called "breakfast pie," which is a pizza topped with scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, cheddar cheese, mozzarella, and red onions.
The location will include a stage for live music, communal tables, and an expansive patio complete with modern cantilever garage doors and fire pits.
They also offer a Rewards program where you get birthday perks, access to the “Beer-of-the-Day” deal, exclusive events, and tappings.
