Sweetheart celebrity's brand opens pop-up shop in Highland Park Village
First we could live like Gwyneth, now we can dress like Reese. Highland Park Village has opened a pop-up shop for Reese Witherspoon's clothing label Draper James, giving Dallasites a taste of Southern-inspired clothing, accessories, and home goods.
Unlike Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop pop-up shop, which was here and gone in 2014, Draper James is planning to return for good in September with a permanent store.
For now, the pop-up shop will be located at 26B Highland Park Village in The Market. It will be open 10 am-6 pm, Monday-Saturday, from May 3-June 7.
"Draper James had always planned to open its second store in Texas," says a spokesperson for the company. "They have had a tremendous amount of loyal and enthusiastic customers since they launched online who have been imploring them to come to Dallas. With the pop-up, they wanted to give Highland Park a little preview of what they could expect when the permanent store opens this September."
Witherspoon started the brand in spring 2015 and opened the first store in Nashville later that year. Adorably, she named the company in honor of her grandparents, who "taught her everything she knows about gracious Southern living."
No word yet on if the Oscar-winning actress will be making a personal appearance as Paltrow famously did, but one can always hope.
