It's a solid month for savvy shoppers on the retail scene. From the long-awaited opening of a Dallas design darling's first brick-and-mortar shop to the return of a clothing classic for babes on a budget, this lineup has a little bit of everything. Amy Berry Home
After months of anticipation, this Dallas design darling with national recognition from here to The Hamptons finally opened the doors to her first brick-and-mortar shop. It's on Oak Lawn Avenue, in the reformer Collective Residential space. Each piece, be it big or small, can transform a house with Berry's signature style, which manages to be timelessly traditional but with a terrific twist. From baby clothing to dog beds and everything in between, it's hard to leave the store without arms draped in Berry baggage.
Aritzia
This Canadian women's fashion boutique has set up shop in a gorgeous new space in NorthPark Center, on level one near Dillard's. It prides itself on providing beautifully made clothes and exceptional experiences for every woman. Brands exclusive to Aritzia include Babaton, Sunday Best, Little Moon, The Constant, and more.
Blue Jean Baby
Sisters Lola and Taylor Rogers are excited to open this Snider Plaza boutique that features "a whimsical mix of luxurious contemporary looks paired with handpicked vintage." Think denim, tops, jewelry, and even swimwear. Some of the brands that the sisters are particularly jazzed about include For Love and Lemons, Lack of Color, WAYF, and their ever-changing collection of vintage goods.
Clothes Circuit
The premiere Park Cities luxury consignment shop has reopened following renovation, featuring a clean, bright color palette and a more open layout. The new space also includes updated dressing rooms and comfortable seating areas. The reopening launches a new take on the customer consignment experience, as well, including updated consignment quarters and the intake process.
Hari Mari at J. Crew
The Dallas brand known for infusing color and comfort into the flip-flop marketplace is linking up with J. Crew. The retailer is launching three of Hari Mari's spring 2019 styles for men and women, including Piers, Fields, and Scouts. Hari Mari can be found under the "Brands We Love" tab on the J. Crew website.
Indie Beauty Expo Dallas
Showcasing innovative ingredients and purpose-based brands, this third annual Dallas extravaganza is back and better than ever. Attendees can find great deals, music, drinks, and lots of fun in the name of beauty. New brands to keep an eye out for include Body Barrier, Love Always, Tropic Labs, Enmarie, and more. The expo is also touting new product launches from Moon Bath, Astutra. Sanara, J Bloom Cosmetics, and more. Tickets start at $45, and the event takes place at Sixty Five Hundred from 5-9 pm on May 15.
L’Occitane
A prominent purveyor of luxury bath and body products has transformed its NorthPark store into a "sunshine" space. Taking a more experiential approach to the retail experience, the space is decorated in golden yellow, cream, and earth tones. It is the ideal place to test the deliciously scented and sustainably sourced soaps, scrubs, fragrances, and creams. L'Occitane is on level one in between Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom.
The Scent Room
Dallas’ first independent, niche perfumery opens May 11 in West Village next to Starbucks. Deborah Turner designed this store to be an intimate experience without counters and hustle and bustle. It is stocked with more than 30 hard-to-find perfumes, and knowledgeable staff will help you select just the right scent. Brands include Abel, Acqua Di Sardegna, Eight & Bob, Histories De Parfums, Juliette Has a Gun, Jusbox, Simone Andreoli, and many more.
