Ex-NFL quarterback and UT star puts Texas home on market at reduced price

Quarterback Vince Young, who led the Texas Longhorns to a 2005 national championship and spent six seasons in the NFL, mainly with the Tennessee Titans, is selling his Houston home at a reduced price: $815,000.

The 4,323-square-foot house, located in the Royal Oaks neighborhood, originally went on the market in July for $849,000 after the Houston native filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

Located in the west Houston subdivision built around the Royal Oaks Country Club, Young's former home at 12006 Legend Manor Dr. is a traditional-style, two-story stone and brick structure within a gated community. Owners enter to find formal dining and living rooms, as well as a large family room with two-story ceilings.

Windows lining this soaring space bring plenty of natural light inside, and a bar in convenient for entertaining. Additional seating is found in the connecting informal dining room.

Majestic $6 million estate in Texas Hill Country goes up for auction

A sprawling, 13-acre waterfront estate about two hours south of Dallas is hitting the auction block. Bidding on the Oxbow Overlook estate, just outside the Central Texas town of Belton, is scheduled to start February 13 on the Sotheby’s Concierge Auctions website.

The sale process will conclude February 28 when the estate is featured at ModaMiami, a luxury event hosted by South Florida’s Biltmore Miami-Coral Gables.

The property, at 8536 Armstrong Rd., is co-listed at $5.95 million by Debbie Stevenson of Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty. Bidding will start at $2 million to $2.5 million.
