This week’s food events roundup is all about variety — from the flavors of the Middle East and Southeast Asia to that quintessential Texas favorite: barbecue. Of course we wouldn’t forget the bubbly.
Wednesday, October 12
Martin House Beer and Cheese Class at Scardello Artisan Cheese
This class pairs four Martin House beers with 10 artisan cheeses. Guests also go home with a Martin House pint glass, a brewery tour pass, and a can of Gateway Blonde to start the night off right. Tickets are $40, and the class starts at 7 pm.

Bubbly Q at Fearing’s Restaurant
The champagne-infused function at Fearing’s may be the most popular fall fundraiser on the Dallas young professionals scene. In addition to bites from top local restaurants, cocktails from famed Dallas bartenders, and bubbles (of course), there is an epic silent auction. All proceeds collected by Young Texans Against Cancer support local cancer initiatives. Tickets are $110 for members and $135 for non-members and can be purchased online.
Saturday, October 15
Middle East Dinner at 3711 Parry Ave.
Three Twelve Company, together with We the Birds, presents a three-part dinner series. The first dinner features chef Christian Koelling and the flavors of the Middle East; think saffron, rose petals, and plums. Arabian sangria complements each course, and there's an after-dinner treat to take home. Tickets to the family-style meal are $75, and dinner starts at 7 pm.

Dia de las Carnes at Thanks-Giving Square
This is Cafe Momentum’s fourth annual pitmasters picnic, starring Nick Pencis (Stanley’s Famous), Travis Heim (Heim BBQ), Jeff Bergus (Lockhart), Stephen Joseph (Riverport BBQ), Tim Hutchins (Hutchins Barbecue), Todd David (Cattleack BBQ), and Matt Dallman (18th & Vine). Tickets are $65 for all that ’cue, and the festivities run from 5-8 pm.

Guest Chef Series at FT33
FT33’s guest chef dinner series continues when chef Michael Gulotta of MoPho in New Orleans drops by for a night dedicated to innovation and collaboration. With a focus on Southeast Asian by way of NOLA, this eight-course dinner costs $105 per person, plus $55 for optional wine pairings. The dinner starts at 7 pm; call 214-741-2629 for reservations.
