Patrons put family first at Dallas Design District gala
What: Mosaic Family Services Gala 2016
Where: The Empire Room
The 411: More than 330 charitable partiers headed for the Dallas Design District to raise crucial funds for Mosaic Family Services. Welcomed by event chairs Melissa Green and Elizabeth Weathersby and honorary chair Lana Byrne, attendees enjoyed Oak Highlands brews, signature gin and whiskey cocktails, and small bites before assembling for a family-style dinner provided by Stock & Barrel. As they dined, emcee Steve Kemble kept the program moving, a highlight of which was the presentation of the 2016 Champion of Human Rights Award to Jennifer Staubach Gates by her mother, Marianne Staubach, and interim Dallas police chief David Pughes.
After dinner, guests continued the party with DJ Carlis, a stacked silent auction, and casino games. The gala raised $155,000 for Mosaic Family Services, which provides comprehensive services to survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking.
