Trains at NorthPark supporters get in the spirit at posh sponsor party
More than 100 festive friends of the Trains at NorthPark gathered at the Preston Hollow estate of Karen and William Seanor to welcome the trains back for the 2013 holiday season.
The beloved holiday tradition includes trains rolling across 1,600 feet of track on a journey across America. More than 75,000 people visit the Trains at NorthPark each season, and that takes a lot of behind-the-scenes work by the people who gathered to celebrate.
Guests — including Nicole Seanor, Robin and Norm Bagwell, Lauren and Pat Arthur, Sally and Mike McWilliams, Dr. Dale Fuller, and Katie and Bill Collins — sipped holiday cocktails while listening to Jill Montgomery tickle the ivories. Another treat: Southwestern specialties from Stephan Pyles. Getting the celebrity chef to whip up tamale tartlets and citrus-poached rock shrimp (among other bites) is a special occasion in itself. Am I right or am I right?
Co-chairs Courtney Westerburg and Claire Raggio thanked guests and welcomed Bob White, executive vice president of Bank of Texas, who had nothing but kind words to say about those who have helped the Trains of Northpark ride on for 26 years.
“We appreciate the great work of the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas,” White said. “We are delighted to be associated with the work you do.”
All proceeds from the Trains at NorthPark benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas. This year’s exhibit, which runs through January 5, 2014, is located on level two between Sephora and Free People.
