DFW audiences will get another shot at Hamilton in 2022
During this time of uncertainty, one question on every theatergoing North Texan's mind has been, "Yeah, but is Hamilton still happening in Fort Worth?"
The answer is yes, Performing Arts Fort Worth revealed April 22, but much later than planned. Originally scheduled to run at Bass Performance Hall June 9-28, 2020, the national tour of Hamilton will now visit Fort Worth from January 18-February 6, 2022.
No action is necessary for current ticket-holders who purchased their tickets directly through the Bass Hall website or at the Bass Hall box office. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new dates, and emails will be sent to ticket-holders with additional information concerning their new performance dates.
Those who purchased tickets through third parties will need to contact their points of purchase.
Hamilton visited the Music Hall at Fair Park through Dallas Summer Musicals in 2019, bringing with it the special Hamilton Education Program, aka EduHam, for high schoolers.
The Broadway smash hit is the story of America's Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary.
Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway, Hamilton is the story of America then, as told by America now.
