WaterTower Theatre in Addison has announced its 2014-2015 season, and it includes two regional premieres, a co-production with Fort Worth's Stage West and a play written by local playwright Vicki Caroline Cheatwood.
The season kicks off October 10 with Bonnie & Clyde, a musical biography of famed Texas outlaws Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. The Tony-nominated production tells the notorious story of the two lovers through songs written by Don Black and Frank Wildhorn. The show runs through November 2.
The holiday production for WaterTower this year is the regional premiere of The Great American Trailer Park Christmas Musical. Plenty of local companies, including WaterTower, have staged the original Great American Trailer Park Musical, but the Christmas version is virtually brand-new, debuting in Houston last year.

This time around, the crazy characters from the Florida trailer park are put to the test when Darlene, the resident Scrooge, has a bout of amnesia, and her neighbors must band together to help her. The production runs December 5-January 4.
Next up is another regional premiere, The Explorers Club, produced in conjunction with Stage West. Running January 16-February 8, 2015, it’s a very British comedy set in 1879 London in which the members of the titular Explorers Club must deal with a number of crises, including a woman campaigning for admittance.
As always, the company presents its annual Out of the Loop Fringe Festival, March 5-15, 2015. The festival provides a forum for new works and up-and-coming artists.
WaterTower commemorates the 100th anniversary of the birth of playwright Arthur Miller by presenting All My Sons, which earned Miller a special award at the first-ever Tonys in 1947. Running April 17-May 10, 2015, the post-World War II drama examines the relationships between fathers and sons and the price of living the American Dream.
Vicki Caroline Cheatwood's Manicures & Monument, a comedy about residents of an Oklahoma nursing home who clash with Janann, a young manicurist-in-training who comes to volunteer, runs June 5-28, 2015.
The season ends with the classic Sweet Charity, written by Neil Simon with music and lyrics by Cy Coleman and Dorothy Fields. It follows eternal optimist and hopeless romantic Charity Hope Valentine, who won't stop looking for love despite numerous obstacles. With original choreography by Bob Fosse, it's sure to entertain.
All shows take place at the Addison Conference Centre, with all but The Great American Trailer Park Christmas Musical and the Out of the Loop Fringe Festival available as part of season subscriptions. Prices for subscriptions, which are available now, remain the same as the 2013-2014 season, ranging from $75 to $150.
