Suspect who left injured son at LBJ hit-and-run wanted by Dallas police
Dallas police are seeking a suspect who was involved in a hit-and-run that killed three people, and who left his 12-year-old injured son at the scene.
The suspect is Jesus Chavarria-Vasquez, 32, who was involved in an accident at 3200 LBJ Fwy.
On March 10, at approximately 3:31 am, Chavarria-Vasquez, who was driving a black 2013 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck eastbound, struck three individuals who were changing a tire on the side of the freeway.
The three individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene. The deceased are Hieu Minh Doan, 22; David Nguyean, 23; and Christopher Pham, 23.
According to the Dallas Police Department, the three victims were trying to change a tire after their Toyota Rav4 became disabled on the south side of the eastbound lanes.
A passenger in the back seat of the Rav4 was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.
Chavarria-Vasquez's truck was disabled and he fled on foot, leaving his injured 12-year-old juvenile son at the scene.
The 3200 block of LBJ Freeway is south of Dallas, on I-20 east of I-35 but west of I-45.
Chavarria-Vasquez also has a black 2008 Cadillac, Texas Tag JZS0584 and may also be driving a white work van.
