Pet of the Week
Need a goddess in your life? Meet Athena the adoptable Boston Terrier mix
Former featured pets Little One and Claire are still waiting for their forever homes. This week meet Athena, who was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on January 10.
This high-energy love bug likes to curl up in your lap and give you kisses. Could she be the next goddess in your life? Let’s find out:
Breed: Boston Terrier mix
Age: 3 years
Weight: 17 pounds
Personality: Athena likes frolicking about the dog park, playing tug-of-war and chasing tennis balls. In addition to being a bundle of energy, she is also quite the looker. She has a silky black-and-white coat, bright golden eyes, cute chocolate nose and ears that reach for the heavens.
Vital stats: Although she is heartworm positive, her treatments are free to her new family at any Dallas-Fort Worth VCA animal hospital after she is adopted. This provides the best total care for heartworm-positive dogs like Athena, as owners have access to emergency care and overnight stays if necessary.
Come meet Athena (#125869) today at the SPCA of Texas’ Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas at 2400 Lone Star Dr., near I-30 and Hampton Road. The center is open seven days a week, noon-6 pm.
