Tragedy Strikes
37-year-old man leaps to his death at Hyatt Regency Dallas hotel
UPDATE: The Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office has ruled the death a suicide. The story has been changed to reflect this new information.

Around 2 am on May 8, Missouri native Craig McKinnon Berry fell to his death at the Hyatt Regency Dallas hotel. The 37-year-old man was reportedly attending a business conference there.
According to police, Berry fell from the 12th floor and landed in the second floor lobby, where he was found by hotel security. Police have no evidence to suggest foul play. Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office ruled Berry's death a suicide.
The DocWorld conference began today at Hyatt Regency, but it is not known whether Berry was attending that conference or another one.
Dallas Police public information officer Monica Cordova said officers questioned Berry's business associates at the hotel now to find out more information about the circumstances of his death.
On May 2, the Center for Disease Control released a report that showed suicide rates have risen sharply in the past decade for Americans ages 35 to 64.
The 28 percent increase means that more middle-aged people now die of suicide than car crashes. The increase was most drastic for those aged 50 and above.
