Pet of the Week
Get ready to play with Cheyenne the spirited Akita mix
From last week, Venice is still waiting for her forever home. This week, meet Cheyenne, a 2-year-old Shar-Pei/Akita mix.
This 47-pound bundle of joy is hard to resist with those warm eyes and sweet smile. Cheyenne is a spirited gal who enjoys bounding after tennis balls, playing tug-of-war and chomping down on squeaky toys.
In addition to being a playful pup, she is also quite intelligent. She already knows how to sit on command and will come when called. We recommend rewarding her talents with tasty chicken treats — her favorite.
Cheyenne was transferred to the SPCA of Texas on May 31 in the hopes of finding her forever home. She has been spayed, heartworm tested (she’s negative) and microchipped, and she has received her age-appropriate vaccinations.
Come meet Cheyenne (#115901) today at the SPCA of Texas’ Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas at 2400 Lone Star Dr., near I-30 and Hampton Road. The center is open seven days a week, noon-6 pm.
