Masked gunmen take two Dallas businesses for nearly $500,000
Dallas police say masked gunmen have robbed two local businesses and made off with about $500,000 in goods and cash. Police are working with the FBI to solve the crimes and are asking for the public's help.
The first robbery occurred around noon on July 2 at a T-Mobile store in the 2500 block of Fort Worth Avenue. The suspects held the store up at gunpoint and stole $40,000 worth of phones.
A second, similar robbery took place around 7 pm on July 13 in the 11000 block of Harry Hines Boulevard. Two armed suspects approached employees outside a warehouse and assaulted and robbed them. The gunmen stole a $21,000 Rolex, $80,000 in cash and more than $300,000 in checks.
In both instances, police say the suspects fled in a light colored Lincoln Navigator after ditching the vehicle they arrived in. While the robbers were caught on video surveillance, their identities remain a mystery.
Anyone with information about the suspects or the robberies should call Detective A. Nordyke at 214-671-3638. Those who wish to remain anonymous, can call Crime Stoppers at 214-373-8477 and claim up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and indictment of suspects.
