Two people were killed overnight in an apparent act of family violence in Frisco, police say. Around 2 am on August 11, Frisco Police responded to a 911 call about shots fired in the 12400 block of Shepherds Hill Lane.
Police officers found a man and a woman dead inside the home and took a suspect into custody. According to multiple media outlets at the scene, police have said the suspect is a male juvenile family member. The murders occurred at 12451 Shepherds Hill Ln., a home owned by Ryan and Maria Elena Callens.
The suspect's exact relationship to the deceased adults has not been disclosed, and the victims' names are also unknown at this time. The double murder occurred down the street from Wester Middle School. Although classes haven't started, many students arrived at 9 this morning for band camp.
The deaths mark the second familial homicide investigation in Frisco this year. In January, police charged Pallavi Dhawan with the murder of her 10-year-old son, Arnav. Dhawan's attorney has vehemently disputed the charges, and the case has yet to go to a grand jury.
