Eat, drink and be complete: Knox Street kicks off Better Block Project
As much as we all love a good challenge, perhaps the thrill of victory we feel when we find a parking space on Knox Street is a tad misplaced. Many patrons could have simply walked or biked from their homes.
Of course, this is assuming sidewalks were clear, bike paths were labeled, and Dallas' weather cooperated. At least two of the three will be in place this weekend, at Knox Strasse.
The event, which includes public art, a biergarten and live music, kicks off at 4 pm Thursday with a Build a Better Block Party.
Knox Dallas has already been designated the first area in the city to have a "complete street"— equally outfitted for walkers, bikers and drivers — so this will be a glimpse of things to come.
Highlights include coffee and crepes on the Katy Trail Saturday and Sunday morning, the LaGrange and Stash Design beirgarten Saturday and Sunday evening, and the Knox Strasse Urban Market Sunday afternoon.
Best part of all? Free admission. Check out the full schedule here.
