New HiFi Dallas concert venue opens with all local and regional bands
The newest concert hall in town has rolled out its lineup of acts: The HiFi Dallas, the new venue in Dallas' Design District which boasts a fortuitous Mark Cuban connection, is set to open in May, with a lineup that spotlights local and regional acts, from Bowling For Soup to The Revivalists.
Currently under construction at 1323 N. Stemmons Fwy., the venue will open on May 15 with two Texas acts: a performance by Blue October followed the next night by Bowling For Soup.
The lineup includes:
- May 15: Blue October - Grand Opening Show
- May 16: Bowling For Soup
- May 17: Wallows (matinee)
- May 17: Wallows (evening)
- May 20: The Revivalists
- May 23: Palaye Royale
- May 24: The Struts
- May 27: Yung Pinch
- May 28: Kevin Fowler
- May 29: SNBRN
- May 30: Power Trip
- June 13: Cross Rags and Young
- June 19: Robert Earl Keen
- June 21: Half Alive and MisterWives
Live Nation COO Ben Weeden calls the lineup an "exciting and diverse list of artists."
The venue is operated by Live Nation, longtime promoter which already operates and/or books House of Blues, South Side Ballroom, and Toyota Music Factory. They expect to produce 250 annual concerts and events at HiFi. Ambitious!
The venue features two floors, an outdoor patio serving food, beer, and cocktails, with a 1,000-person capacity.
Box seats and premium tickets are on the venue’s upper level alongside food and beverage offerings and dedicated hospitality.
The idea is that concertgoers will have loads of choices for dining as well, including food and drinks on both levels.
"The attention and time we've taken to invest in building something special and unique will all be worth it when fans experience their favorite artists inside this amazing new venue," Weeden says. "The sound system we are putting in and the sight-lines are really just incredible."
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 14, at 10 am via thehifidallas.com, livenation.com, and ticketmaster.com.
Citi cardmembers get access to presale tickets beginning February 11 at 10 am through Citi EntertainmentSM. Live Nation and select artist presales will begin February 12 at 10 am.
