Here Comes Beyoncé
Dallas Cowboys stadium releases crucial tips for upcoming Beyoncé concert
AT&T Stadium has issued instructions and information for the imminent arrival of Beyoncé, who will perform in concert on May 9.
"We are getting ready for Event Day here at AT&T Stadium with Beyoncé The Formation World Tour on Monday, May 9, 2016," the stadium says. As are we. "Below we have some items that we hope answers your questions for the event." Pretty sure they meant answer, a plural verb to agree with the subject "items," but let's move on to the rules.
No purses or bags. AT&T Stadium has instituted a policy prohibiting purses and bags inside the stadium. No backpacks, no briefcases, no computer bags, no coolers, no fanny packs, no bags.
Wristbands. All guests with floor seats will be required to have a wristband. Wristband pick up is located at Entry C, Entry H, or the ramp behind section 228 on the main concourse. If you have any "floor relocation issues," visit the ticket services table in the DraftKings Fantasy Sports Lounge (North Field Level Club).
Estimated timeline:
- 4 pm — AT&T Stadium parking lots open
- 5:30 pm — AT&T Stadium plazas and entrances open
- 7:30 pm — Event begins
- 11 pm — Event ends (estimated)
Traffic and parking
Please ARRIVE EARLY to avoid traffic and congestion in the Arlington area. It's in all caps so obviously that is highly recommended.
Abram Street is under construction between Collins Street and Highway 360. This will affect outbound traffic on Collins Street South to Abram Street from Lots 11, 12, 13, and 14. As an alternative, they suggest using Collins Street South to Park Row. Turn left on Park Row to Highway 360 or further east to George Bush Toll Highway (Highway 161).
They suggest using Dallas Cowboys Maps, which provides the best route from your point of origin to your pre-purchased or selected cash lot.
The I-30 Express Lane is open and available for use. Look for the exit signs for the Express Lane as you enter Tarrant County on I-30 westbound from Dallas and east.
If you want to avoid the most obvious but also the most heavily congested Collins Street, Ballpark Way, and AT&T Way exits off of I-30, they offer these two alternative routes:
I-30 westbound preferred route, i.e. if you're coming from Dallas:
- Take I-30 to SH 161
- Take SH 161 southbound to Main Street/Division Street exit
- Turn right on Main Street/Division Street
- Turn right on AT&T Way to Silver Lots, or right on Collins Street to Blue Lots
I-30 eastbound preferred route, i.e. if you're coming from Fort Worth:
- Take I-30 to Center Street (Exit 27B)
- Keep right on ramp toward Center Street, then turn right on Center Street
- Turn left on Randol Mill Road to Blue Lots, or left on Division Street and left on AT&T Way to Silver Lots
Tailgating. Tailgating is permitted in designated tailgating spaces located along the perimeter of each of the AT&T Stadium and Rangers parking lots. Spaces are available on a first come, first served basis. Details regarding AT&T Stadium tailgating policies are here.
There will be no early admittance into parking lots. Parking privileges can be revoked at any time for failure to follow parking guidelines.
