Controversial diva Lady Gaga returns to Dallas for 2013 North American tour
Lady Gaga, who made an unannounced club stop at the Round-Up Saloon in 2011, is headed back to Dallas. Her Born This Way Ball Tour, after spending most of 2012 abroad, finally comes to North America. She will light up the American Airlines Center on January 29, 2013, the seventh stop of 25 planned dates in the United States and Canada. Tickets go on sale Friday, September 28, via Live Nation.
Lady Gaga is expected to perform songs from her latest album, Born This Way, along with selections from her first two albums. She also has a new album, reportedly called Artpop, so expect some new — and equally showstopping — numbers.
Gaga is, of course, notorious for her outlandish fashion choices and her ability to stir up controversy wherever she goes. Her concert in South Korea sparked protests from area Christian groups, and her debut of the new song "Princess Die" in Melbourne, which deals with suicide, had critics up in arms, given her influence over young fans.
Regardless of her penchant for disharmony, Gaga's tours are sell-outs. No word on the opening act, although DJ White Shadow, who played a big part in the making of the Born This Way album, is rumored to be attached.
