Clint Black to headline major benefit in Dallas for country music museum
A benefit for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Dallas will feature some country big guns: Called All For the Hall, the event will be headlined by Clint Black, with Robert Earl Keen, Scotty McCreery, and Carly Pearce in a Nashville-style “guitar pull,” taking place on September 10 at Gilley's Dallas.
The All for the Hall campaign began in 2005 when Country Music Hall of Fame member Vince Gill suggested country music artists contribute the proceeds of one annual performance to benefit the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Launched in 2007 in New York, the series has alternated between New York and Los Angeles in succeeding years, with Gill and fellow Country Music Hall of Fame member Emmylou Harris as hosts.
Funds raised from All for the Hall events support the museum’s educational initiatives, which served more than 230,000 people last year though in-person and virtual programs.
The two-day musical event in Dallas, which supports the nonprofit museum’s education programs, will kick off with a performance by Grammy-nominated trio Midland on Monday, September 9, at a Patron Party at the home of Anne and Steve Stodghill, honorary co-chairs of the event. (Vince Gill, who was the previously announced performer, is no longer able to attend the headline event.)
This is the second time All for the Hall will be held in Dallas. The inaugural event in September 2021 featured Brooks & Dunn and Trisha Yearwood, and raised more than $630,000 in support of the museum’s educational initiatives, including its flagship Words & Music program. The program, which is provided within the Dallas Independent School District and beyond, promotes language arts by pairing professional songwriters with school classrooms to create original songs.
This year’s All for the Hall Dallas leaders include Lisa Arpey and Vikram Agrawal as chairs, the Stodghills serving as honorary chairs and Carri Hyde as a production partner. Annabel Morgan and Emily Hyde are serving as Troubadour Dallas Ambassadors co-chairs, engaging next generation patrons in All for the Hall.
The event’s inaugural chairs include Katy and Lawrence Bock; Terri and Kurt Johnson; Jonika and Corky Nix; Sunie and Steve Solomon; and Anne and Steve Stodghill. Entertainment producers include Rod Essig (CAA), Ken Levitan (Vector Management), Clarence Spalding (Maverick) and Jody Williams (Jody Williams Songs).
