Texas Rangers' 2024 promotional merch includes cute mini World Series trophy

A mini replica World Series trophy will be one of 25 giveaways by the Texas Rangers in 2024.

Bobbleheads and promotional merchandise are an annual tradition for the Texas Rangers but 2024 will be special: The latest collection from DFW's major-league baseball team will focus almost entirely on the team's first-ever World Series title - including the unique opportunity to take home an adorable mini replica World Series trophy.

According to a release, the majority of the 25 promotional giveaways by the team in 2024 will have a World Series theme, including the mini trophy, plus bobbleheads, replica rings, and jerseys.

On Opening Day March 28, fans will receive a Magnetic Schedule, but the Rangers' first big giveaway will come on April 8 in the final game of a four-game series against the Houston Astros.

Appropriately, it will be a bobblehead commemorating Evan Carter's iconic catch in Game 1 of the ALCS against the Astros.

That will be the first of eight bobblehead giveaways, including ones depicting Rangers stars like Corey Seager, Adolis García, and Marcus Semien. They will be given to the first 15,000 fans in the ballpark.

Four replica World Series rings will be distributed throughout the season, starting with Corey Seager on May 8. Others include Marcus Semien, Adolis García, and Nathan Eovaldi.

The prized mini replica World Series trophy giveaway will come early in the season: April 10 in a midweek game against the Oakland A's. "Mini" is right: The giveaway can fit in your hand.

The giveaways are in addition to regular promotions like Coca-Cola Family Fun Tuesdays, with pre-game autographs with current Rangers players and coaches, a 50 percent discount on select tickets, savings on parking and concessions.

There will also be $1 Texas Chili Company hot dogs on Wednesdays, pre-game summer happy hours in the Karbach Brewing Sky Porch on Friday & Saturday from June 7 to August 31, and $1 Blue Bell Ice Cream and a chance to run the bases post-game for kids 13 and under on Sundays.

Individual tickets for all home games at Globe Life Field, excluding Opening Day, are now on sale at rangers.com. An expanded inventory of seating for single-game tickets will be made available to buyers at the Texas Rangers 2024 Fan Fest on January 27.

Figure skating legend Scott Hamilton brings holiday ice show to DFW

Scott Hamilton will emcee the ice show.

Scott Hamilton, the 1984 Olympic gold medal-winning figure skater known for his signature backflip, is coming to Dallas-Fort Worth for a holiday ice show and "Frozen 5K" fundraising mega-event.

The fundraiser portion ties into Hamilton's public battle with testicular cancer in the 1990s, which led him to found the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation in 2014. The nonprofit's mission is to fund innovative, patient-centered, targeted treatments that fight cancer while preserving quality of life.

One of its fundraising events is the Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer ice shows, which bring Hamilton and other world-class athletes to rinks around the country.

NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills is hosting a holiday version on Saturday, December 20 at 7 pm, where Hamilton will emcee and Olympians Mariah Bell, Ashley Cain, and Polina Edmunds will perform.

Tickets range from $32.75 to $79, with proceeds benefiting UT Southwestern Medical Center in addition to the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation.

"This isn’t just an ice show - it’s a celebration of hope, resilience, and community," the city of North Richland Hills says in a Facebook post. "Expect breathtaking performances, holiday cheer, and the chance to see world-class athletes light up the ice, all while supporting a cause that will touch so many."

If you'd like to get out on the ice yourself, you can register for the Frozen 5K on December 21 and skate 35 laps to honor and remember those impacted by cancer. The $35 registration fee includes a T-shirt, or you can donate extra to receive other Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer swag.

DFW-only fundraising incentives include an autographed program ($500), a VIP meet-and-greet plus autographed program ($1,000), or the chance to perform at the holiday ice show (top fundraisers only — see more info here). Better start stretching.

It's the perfect time for Hamilton to bring his ice show to North Texas. Ice rinks are a huge holiday trend for 2025, with kids of all ages gliding and spinning on special pop-up rinks from Grapevine to Garland to the all-new CultureMap City Rink in downtown Dallas.
