Where to shop in Dallas right now: 8 must-hit stores for April

We are impressed with the bounty of great shopping in Dallas this month. From luxurious London scents to outfitting your home for a good cause, this is where you must shop in April.

Ann Taylor
The women's clothing brand (found at NorthPark Center and the Galleria) pleasantly surprised us with bold spring looks in navy and mustard. There's even a pineapple print. If that's not your cup of tea, perhaps you'll swoon over the line's gingham options.

Diptyque
Take in all the wonderful smells coming from this new scent shop on level one of NorthPark Center near Nordstrom. For 40 years, the iconic brand has been developing a sophisticated collection of personal fragrances. In addition to signature scents, Diptyque is well-known for its delicious candles.

Dwell with Dignity Thrift Studio
Dallas' favorite home shopping event returns. Happening in the Dallas Design District at 1444 Oaklawn Ave., score home decor while supporting Dwell with Dignity through May 7. Designers participating at this year's pop-up include Amy Berry Design, Shelly Rosenburg Studio, Scout Design Studio, and more.

Esther Penn
Henderson Avenue is about to get even more hip when Fort Worth's favorite boutique branches out to Dallas. Co-owners Alyson Johnson and Kacey Cargile say the store is slated for an April 20 opening. Make plans to attend the grand opening party on April 22 from 5-8 pm.

Longchamp
The French, family-owned luxury brand opened in late March on level one of NorthPark Center near Nordstrom. A wall of Longchamp's iconic bags beautifully showcases the brand, which is designed for active women who enjoy a touch of luxury. Shoes and ready-to-wear collections are also available.

Nest
The Dallas-based home and gift shop is spicing things up this spring with a collection of pop-up shops. First up? Missoni Home on April 21, featuring items in a selection of rich colors and amazing floral designs. The newest patterns, with black and creme and shiny metallics, will also be showcased. Upcoming pop-ups include Fatboy, Mineheart, and Seletti.

Pockets
Spring means it's time to update your wardrobe, and that includes you too, men. Ensure you are the best-dressed on the block by attending a made-to-measure trunk show with Canadian-based Samuelsohn.

Reveal
One-piece swimsuits are (finally) back in style. This Lovers Lane boutique boasts beaucoup brands, but it's is especially excited to showcase the LeSwim selection this season.

High-fashion name Miu Miu to open first Dallas store in Highland Park

An iconic fashion name is opening a store in Dallas: Miu Miu, the Italian brand that's a younger sibling to Prada, will open its only DFW location at Highland Park Village, the open-air shopping center in Highland Park, at 12 Highland Park Village in the former Dior space.

According to a release, it'll open in fall 2025.

A representative from Highland Park Village calls the label "one of the hottest brands in fashion."

Miu Miu was founded in 1993 by Miuccia Prada as a more colorful spinoff of her original Prada label. Miu Miu is generally described as "playful," and targeted to a younger audience in their 20s and 30s — lots of pop-art colors and patterns, as compared to the more austere black-nylon reputation of Prada. Miu Miu is also less expensive.

They've had some ebb and flow in terms of popular appeal, but have been enjoying a surge of renewed interest and sales in recent years.

Miu Miu merchandise can be found at some stores including Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom, but not an entire store. The Highland Park Village location will carry ready-to-wear, footwear, handbags, fashion jewelry, and accessories.

While the release says this is the first store in Texas, there was once a Miu Miu that opened in Houston at the Galleria back in 2011, but it closed prior to the pandemic.

Miuccia Prada is in expansion mode: A massive new Prada store opened in December 2024 at NorthPark Center.

At HPV, Miu Miu will join a designer's den featuring retailers such as Akris, Alexander McQueen, Balmain, Brioni, Carolina Herrera, Cartier, Chanel, Chloé, Christian Louboutin, Dior, Fendi, Goyard, Harry Winston, Hermès, Jimmy Choo, LOEWE, Moncler, Ralph Lauren, Rolex, Tom Ford, Vacheron Constantin, Valentino, and Van Cleef & Arpels.
