Texas Debut
New York designer makes romantic Texas debut at Dallas' NorthPark Center
Rebecca Taylor is making her Texas debut. And we don’t mean a guest appearance by the designer. We mean an actual brick-and-mortar store that’s opening at NorthPark Center, marking the brand’s first foray into the Lone Star state.
The 1,800-square-foot boutique is located on Level One, between Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus, and it’s filled to the brim with all the lovely, girly, designs that the label is known for, with everything from ready-to-wear to exclusive pieces, limited edition collaborations, and the new casual denim line La Vie Rebecca Taylor. After-hours shopping, custom delivery, styling, and more services are also on offer.
An ode to Taylor’s design aesthetic — romantic, earthy, and sophisticated — the design of the store is just as pretty as the clothes and uses shades of nude pink throughout, a trademark of the brand. There's also a pink marble Terrazzo-tiled floor and a crystallized salt rock and cement wall that serves as the boutique’s focal point. Bright pops of color and specially designed wall paper by artist Wayne Pate complete the unique design.
New York-based Taylor was born and raised in Wellington, New Zealand, and her designs are inspired by the natural beauty of her native country, as well as her time spent in London and Paris. She counts fashion It-girls like Kristen Bell, Kate Middleton, Rashida Jones, Gwyneth Paltrow, Emma Roberts, and Emmy Rossum among her many fans.
