New high-tech Dallas boutique raises the bar on luxury beauty retail
Dallas will get that much prettier this winter with the opening of Cos Bar, a popular luxury beauty retailer coming to The Plaza.
The boutique, the company's 20th nationwide and second in Texas (behind The Woodlands), will include a number of high-tech bells and whistles to help customers wade through brands and make shopping decisions. Future-y features include internal monitors that will stream content like tutorials, brand campaigns, and reviews of products. It will also include interactive tech elements like StellConnect, software that allows customers to rate their experience similar to Uber.
“We are excited to bring our luxury levels of service to Dallas,” said David Olsen, Cos Bar CEO, in a release. "Some of these women have been shopping with us for years in Aspen and Santa Fe, and we’re excited to be coming to their hometown. We are thrilled to deliver an unparalleled beauty-buying experience that is in high demand here."
Cos Bar was founded in Aspen, Colorado, in 1976 and has since expanded across the country. The 1,200-square-foot Dallas space will sell in-demand brands like Clé de Peau, Tom Ford, Sisley-Paris, Rodin, Bobbi Brown, La Prairie, Laura Mercier, Natura Bisse, Tata Harper, and more. A rewards program allows customers to earn points toward future purchases, both in store and online.
Dallas shoppers can expect a feminine yet modern store featuring soft blush walls, white marble fixtures, gray washed Aspen wood floors, and rose gold accents throughout.
Cos Bar will open in time for holiday shopping and primping, on December 13, at 8300 Preston Road, Suite 600.
