Shop away your Thanksgiving Day food coma at these Dallas Black Friday sales
We will do anything to avoid the mall on the busiest shopping day of the year. We will also do anything that qualifies as "exercise," and we consider shopping a sport.
So, if you need to shake off that post-Thanksgiving food coma, here is where you can shop locally — at a discount. Support the small stores that make Dallas the great shopping city that it is.
Here are a few spots on our radar with Black Friday promotions:
Feeling the holiday stress? Unwind at the new West Village men's shop with Fireball shots and get 20 percent off all merchandise.
Men and women can enjoy 30 percent off all regular-priced apparel and 50-70 percent off sale merchandise.
Merge is offering shoppers 20 percent off all merchandise, excluding Lisa C Jewelry and artwork.
One of our favorite designer consignment stores is offering 20 percent off all black items — clothing, accessories and shoes — under $500.
Young owner John Piermarini is giving shoppers a 30 percent discount off every designer thread in the store.
The sweet Snider Plaza boutique is offering $15 off purchases of $75 or more and $40 off purchases of $200 or more. Sale ends November 24.
Wear your jammies to this funky Henderson Avenue store and receive 20 percent off all clothing and holiday gear. Or, assuming you can still fit into your jeans, forgo the pajamas and bring a new, unwrapped toy for the toy drive. The sale runs 9 am-noon. Plus: breakfast!
Okay. So you don’t have to get out of bed for this one. But the Granada Theater is offering up to 47 percent off certain shows in December. All you have to do is get online between 10 am, Friday, November 23, and 10 am, Monday, November 26. Discounted tickets are available for shows such as Charlie Robison, The Mountain Goats, Lucky Peterson, Hard Nights Day, Eleven Hundred Springs and more.
Get big savings at places like Last Call Studio by Neiman Marcus, Hiatus Spa + Retreat and Paper & Chocolate. The latter is offering 20 percent off Christmas cards. Just typing the word Christmas makes us wonder where this year went. For the lowdown on what else is happening at Inwood Village, visit Facebok.
There is too much excitement in Mockingbird Station to list here; suffice to say that early shoppers are rewarded at boutiques like Centre and Movida. But never fear if you want to sleep in; plenty of retailers in the station are running deals all day. Visit the blog for the full list.
