October is the month that Texans live for: The patios. The sweaters. The outdoor activities galore. And speaking of outdoor activities, shopping seems to be a favorite one among Dallasites due, in large part, to fun stores like the ones featured this month. From openings to anniversaries and everything in between, the must-shop list this month is as sweet as a piping hot pumpkin spice latte.

Bell’Invito
Designed and manufactured in Florence, Italy, the latest collection by stationery queen Heather Wise is driven by her passion for “responsible luxury” and features leather accessories like laptop cases, journal covers, luggage tags, totes, and more. And while you're shopping, don’t forget to make an appointment to visit the Dallas Design District-based store to get your Christmas cards in order. Prices range from $115 to $950.

CAMP x Disney
Take the entire family to this Mickey and Friends adventure experience involving Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and more at Dallas' CAMP outpost. Guests will climb, slide, bounce, and dance their way through a unique themed environment with the help of camp “counselors.” This event is happening through February 2023 and tickets are $28. Purchase tickets here.

Galleria Dallas' Alley Market
Galleria Dallas’ biannual Alley Market comes back for one weekend only, 11 am-4 pm October 21-22. The popular outdoor market, which takes place next to The Blue Fish, celebrates and supports small businesses. More than 15 local vendors that sell everything from artisanal clothing to handmade jewelry to doggie couture will be featured, along with purveyors of sweet and savory foods. Vendors will donate 10 percent of weekend sales to Bonton Farms.

La Vie Style House x The Woods
These two iconic fashion brands are collaborating to offer Dallas shoppers Aspen-based The Woods Fine Jewelry inside La Vie Style House’s Highland Park Village boutique. The 30-piece collection incorporates stones and precious gems while mixing metals and textures. Prices range from $770 to $20,000.

Lacrosse Unlimited
The world’s largest lacrosse equipment supplier has opened its 47th store - but first in DFW - in the Preston Village Shopper Center in Plano. This store, headquarters in Edgewood, New York and founded by avid lacrosse players, is a leading global retailer of men’s and women’s lacrosse equipment, apparel, and footwear. They also have locations in Austin and Houston.

Lively
Committed to meeting the customers where they are, this premier bra boutique is opening a new shop in Dallas’ West Village. Dallas is one of the top five cities for Lively in terms of both online sessions and conversions, and 41 percent of the brand’s ambassadors are in Texas. While known for its bras, the brand also includes undies, swimwear, and cozy clothing.

Peacock Alley
The iconic bedding brand’s new Dallas outlet is holding a tent sale October 13-16, offering large retail discounts on fine quality overstock bedding, bath, furniture, and accessories. Products included are one-of-a kind samples, floor samples, and scratch/dent items. The new outlet is located at 1333 Inwood Rd. The sale is running from 9 am-5 pm October 13-15 and October 16 from 10 am-3 pm.

New Balance
A major milestone in the world of commercial real estate, sneaker shop New Balance is celebrating 20 years in The Plaza at Preston Center. The store opened on October 1, 2002 in the same location they are in today. Stop in for a celebratory shoe fitting from one of the fit specialists and finally find that perfect sneaker for your lifestyle.

Shinola x Carolina Pet Company
Everyone’s favorite Detroit-based brand is on the quest to become man’s best friend’s best friend, too, with the recent collaboration with South Carolina-based pet experts. The partnership now yields a complete collection of dog needs from playtime to naptime and everything in between. The logo sweater? The nylon collar? Swoon.

Skin Spirit
Preston-Royal Is having a total renaissance in its shopping experience lately, and nothing more quintessentially speaks to that than the opening of this 2,895-square-foot clinic at Preston Royal Village. In addition to offering a variety of skin care services, it is also your one-stop-shop for Alastin Skincare, IS Clinical, SkinMedica, Nutrafol, and more. Join them for a grand opening event on October 27 from 5-8 pm to receive 20 percent off any “new to you” treatments.

Charleston-based personalized jewelry brand Hart is debuting its first Texas boutique in Dallas, and it couldn't have picked a better spot than the bustling Knox Street district.

The boutique will open Saturday, August 29 at 3212 Knox St., marking the company's fifth retail location nationwide, after stores in Charleston, New York, Nashville, and Nantucket.

According to a release, the Dallas shop will offer Hart's (officially styled HART) popular collection of talismans, chains, cords, bezel jewelry, earrings, and gemstone strands, designed to be mixed and layered. The brand is particularly known for personalized jewelry, with shoppers able to work one-on-one with a member of the Hart team to select symbols and talismans for a custom piece.

The Dallas location will also carry a collection of pieces created specifically for the Texas market, the owners say.

For the store's design, Hart worked with Dallas firm Burkle Creative, which specializes in residential, hospitality, and retail interiors.

"Hart has built a brand around meaningful pieces that tell a story, so our approach was to create a retail environment that feels equally personal," says Javier Burkle, Burkle Creative principal and creative director, in the release. "We wanted the Dallas store to honor Hart's Charleston heritage while embracing the spirit of Texas, blending their unique character and a sense of discovery throughout the space.

"The result is a store that feels like stepping into the home of a well-traveled collector, where every detail invites customers to explore and connect with the brand."

The Dallas opening follows Hart's move into a permanent New York flagship on Bleecker Street in the West Village.

"Dallas has one of the most stylish, confident, and individualistic customer bases in the country," says Hart Hagerty, Hart chief creative officer. "We've been inspired by the Dallas woman for years, her boldness, her sense of self, her commitment to dressing with intention. We are so excited to finally be here."

Curry Hagerty, Hart's CEO, said Dallas has been a hot market for the brand online and through local wholesale partners Clover and St. Bernard. Now they're bringing everything directly to Dallas shoppers.

"Dallas has consistently been one of our top markets for online sales," Hagerty says. "We also have strong wholesale relationships already in the market through Clover and St. Bernard, so we know this customer and she knows us. Opening in Dallas was less a question of if and more a question of when."

Hart's new store will be part of the Knox Street shopping and dining district, near the Katy Trail and surrounded by more than 70 shops and restaurants.

A grand opening event will take place Saturday, August 29 beginning at 10 am. The first 50 people will receive a custom Hart Dallas tote, custom bandana, and $50 gift card. A latte art cart will be on site to supply sustenance.

Once fully open, the Dallas boutique will be open 10 am-7 pm Monday-Saturday and 10 am-6 pm Sunday.
