Dallasites looking to save on self-care have a new resource in Spaflash, a free website that provides members with access to appointment availability, special events, and discounts at spas and salons throughout Dallas-Fort Worth.
Launched in March, Spaflash is the brainchild of Lucia Rodriguez Amasio and Julie Duncan, women with decades of experience working in luxury spas.
“As a longtime spa director, I was always trying to think outside the box as to how to market local events, seasonal treatments, and new treatment experiences,” says Duncan, who worked as spa director for the Ritz-Carlton Spa in Dallas for 11 years. “Spaflash works with spas, beauty locations, and wellness studios to be a one-stop shop for consumers who’d like to easily log on and find current events, deals, and perks in their area.”
Massages, facials, body treatments, specialty therapies, nail, and hair services can all be booked directly through the site at participating locations.
The roster is rapidly growing and includes acclaimed Dallas-Fort Worth spas such as The Ritz-Carlton Spa in Dallas, Spa Adolphus, The Spa at The Joule, and Serendipity Day Spa.
Listings are updated by the day, and include deals like discounts up to 40 percent off treatments, gifts-with-purchase, exclusive services, and deals on skincare and beauty products.
"My dream is to support our area spa locations through Spaflash so they can reveal their own hidden shopping treasures," says Duncan. "Truly, if you're looking for a spa, salon, or wellness experience, just visit the site, view the offerings in your area, book, and go."
The Spaflash owners have plans to expand to California, Hawaii, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, and Washington, D.C., later this year. For now, the founders are focused on broadening their reach around DFW.
