Former Dallas reality TV star debuts friendly neighborhood pet food delivery biz
A local startup aims to make it easy for owners to feed their pets the best foods available by doing little more than getting online. Neighborhood Pet Food Delivery sends high-quality, grain-free and organic pet foods to doorsteps throughout Dallas.
Founder Taylor Garrett — whom you may recall from the short-lived A-List: Dallas — started researching the pet food industry after his French bulldogs, Jack and Jill, experienced severe allergies to common dog foods. He learned of the benefits of a grain-free, organic diet for his pets, who, after all, were TV stars too.
As a busy professional, Garrett also understands the importance of having easy access to these products. So his company offers free same-day and next-day delivery.
According to a release, he was working late one night and couldn’t make it to the store to get food for his dogs. He called the store and offered them $50 to deliver to his house, a mere two blocks away. “To my shock, they refused to deliver to me,” he said.
“This inspired me to create a company that delivered to every neighborhood in Dallas. My goal was to make it extremely convenient and affordable so every pet owner is able to feed their pets top-rated, grain-free foods.”
Neighborhood Pet Food Delivery currently sells wet and dry food, natural supplements, vitamins and grooming products for both cats and dogs from brands such as Orijen, Acana and Natural Balance. Everything is priced competitively with other locally sold products of the same quality.
Do your precious babies need a new toy or two? Of course they do. The site also offers durable, sustainably made toys, which have been approved by Garrett’s network of veterinarians.
