Dallas' Design District earns celebrity status with new bakery-cafe

The world is about to get another branch of Celebrity Cafe & Bakery, and by the world, we mean Dallas' Design District. The restaurant will open at the International at 150 Turtle Creek Blvd. in March.
Celebrity is the Dallas chain that combines a restaurant and bakery with cakes, cookies, and brownies. They're open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Menu highlights include their signature cranberry chicken salad, panini sandwiches, wraps, salads, and soups. For breakfast, there is coffee, cinnamon rolls, and a breakfast burrito.
The International in Dallas’ Design District marks the sixth location, joining five other locations in Highland Park, North Dallas, Frisco, Plano, and Colleyville. At 3300 square feet, the Design District branch will be the largest to date. Owner Brian Livingston, who purchased the chain with his wife Brittany in 2015, says that they'll be using this location to grow the catering and custom cake business.
"We think the International on Turtle Creek is a premier location for us to put our brand on display and look forward to becoming an integral part of the neighborhood," he says in a release.
The International is a 7-acre complex that was purchased by Dallas-based Stockdale Investment Group in February 2016. They've been revamping the center into an upscale decorative center with both residential and commercial office showrooms. Current tenants include luxury home furnishings showroom Allan Knight Associates, Bausman & Truett, Tufenkian Artisan Carpets, Trendway, Gunlocke, and Spencer Company.
