Love is in the air, especially at The Statler. If you're looking to set someone's heart aflutter this Valentine's Day, the retro-chic hotel has a trio of truly romantic options.
Cozy cocktails
Planning to flame the fires of love (and the oven) with a handmade meal at home later? Then start out at Bourbon & Banter, where $50 will get each couple two craft cocktails topped with customizable sugar paper printed with the photo of your choice. You can also pen sweet nothings on a personal message sealed with wax, and end with boozy macarons. Bourbon & Banter will be open regular business hours on February 14, from 4 pm-2 am, and you can make a reservation here.
Devoted dinner
Prefer to leave the cooking to the professionals? Fine China will do all the impressive hard work in the kitchen with a special prix-fixe menu just for V-Day. Start with Togarashi grilled ahi tuna, then your choice of Fine China slaw, blue crab and ginger bisque, or the Electrified Lobster Claw. Main courses include a teriyaki-grilled wagyu strip steak, cardamom pistachio-crusted sea bass, and sweet and sour duck. End on a sweet note with the choice of sesame panna cotta, kaffir lime cheesecake, or a wasabi and dark chocolate tart.
If you make your reservation in advance, you can secure extra discounts on Champagne (think Veuve Clicquot or Veuve Clicquot Rosé for $75 and Dom Perignon for $185). Either call or email after you make your dining rez to claim your bottle(s). Fine China is open during its regular business hours from 5-11 pm.
