Juice Bar Explosion
Austin's Daily Juice aims for statewide domination with new Dallas shops
Another shop is squeezing into the Dallas juice scene: Austin-based Daily Juice is set to open its first local branch in the coming weeks, at 3908 Cedar Springs Rd. It is the first of three scheduled to open this summer and one of 10 Dallas-Fort Worth locations coming in the next three years — all part of the 11-year-old brand’s plan to spread its smoothies around Texas and beyond.
The new Cedar Springs location will offer a variety of organic fresh and cold-pressed juices, super-food smoothies, freshly made salads, cleanses, nutrient-dense shots and super-food snacks. Hours will vary depending on the season.
The DFW franchisee is DJG-DFW Holdings LLC, an affiliate of Fort Worth-based restaurant operator Winslow’s Partners LLC. Principal Angie Berry, who co-owns Winslow’s Wine Cafe in Fort Worth, is partnering with her uncle, Joe Berry, who co-founded Winslow’s. He will be responsible for building the Daily Juice brand locally.
Angie said in a release that they were drawn to Daily Juice because of the quality of the product. “Healthy living has always been a priority for my family. Daily Juice was our first encounter with quick-serve whole-food smoothing and organic juices, and we knew immediately that we wanted to be a part of it.”
Daily Juice also recently opened its first shop in Houston, at 6401 Woodway Dr. With its Texas expansion underway, the brand is looking to markets such as California, Florida and Colorado. The goal is approximately 100 locations by the end of 2017 — slightly behind schedule from its last declaration.
