Juicy freestones and golden clings are reaching perfection, and it's a thrill to pluck a perfect peach straight off the branch. Here's where to go to pick your own peaches near Dallas, plus details on the most famous peach event in North Texas - the Parker County Peach Festival.
Gemini Peach and Rose Farm
Gemini Peach and Rose Farm sits on four acres in the heart of Denton. This family-owned gem is home to more than 200 peach trees and 1,000 award-winning rose bushes, harmoniously coexisting in curated rows. What sets Gemini Peach and Rose Farm apart is its blending of heritage horticulture and sustainable farming. No synthetic chemicals touch the soil or trees. Visitors are invited to stroll through rows of mature peach trees, hand-picking heirloom freestone varieties at the height of their flavor. Ham Orchards
Just east of Terrell, this orchard was founded in 1979 by Dale and Judy Ham with 50 peach trees. It has grown into a 100-acre destination with more than 10,000 trees. Orchard guests are welcome to wander through the rows of fruit-laden trees, cool off with a cup of Ham’s signature peach or strawberry ice cream, or gather under the open-air pavilion to savor slow-smoked barbecue and peach cobbler fresh from the on-site bakery. 11939 County Rd. 309, Terrell. Hutton Peach Farm
With an impressive spread of roughly 5,000 peach trees, Hutton Peach Farm has offered a true farm-to-table experience in Parker County for four decades. Its homemade peach ice cream is a local legend, and its leadership of the Weatherford Farmers Market reinforces the farm’s pivotal role in the region’s agricultural heritage.
