Plano seafood restaurant closes to make way for nautical new events space
A Plano restaurant has closed, but on the upside, it's being reconfigured into an events space. The Keeper, which was a high-end seafood resturant at Plano's Legacy West now becomes Captain's Club at Legacy – an event space that a release says is perfect for any occasion and budget.
The space is 7,484 square feet, and is thereby being pitched as a smaller, more intimate setting for corporate and social needs such as rehearsal dinners and business lunches.
Located at 5840 Legacy Circle in The Shops at Legacy, Captain's Club repurposes the space's nautical decor left by its predecessor, The Keeper, with an airy open floor plan, three main rooms, and an outdoor patio.
This is fantastic news, since the space had an amazing, top-of-the-line finish-out, so it's good that won't get wasted or trashed.
The venue is part of Front Burner Experiences, the catering arm established by Front Burner Restaurants and headed up by catering maestro Jordan Swim.
Food and beverage catering is handled in-house with a variety of choices from Front Burner restaurants that include Haywire, Ida Claire, Mexican Sugar, Sixty Vines, Vestals Catering, and Whiskey Cake.
Custom cocktail catering is provided by an exclusive caterer named Modern Pour.
The team will also handle set up, music, décor and more.
The four event spaces include:
- Captain's Room – With 35 seats and A/V, for dinners or businesses lunches.
- Main Cabin – With up to 100 guests, for rehearsal dinners and larger parties. Can also be converted into a dance floor.
- Mermaid Lounge – Up t9 60 guests, or a D and dance floor, it's for cocktail receptions and mixers.
- Patio – Up to 50 seats.
