Breakfast and brunch are on at first Snooze restaurant in Dallas
After slaying them in Addison, fun breakfast restaurant Snooze, an A.M. Eatery will likely do the same in Dallas, with the opening of a location at Walnut Hill Lane and US-75.
This is the second DFW location for the Denver-based chain, and according to a release, it will open on September 26. The chain made its DFW debut with the Addison restaurant which opened in June.
Snooze's signatures include inventive pancakes, such as their pineapple upside down pancake, plus benedicts, sandwiches, and the new Bravacado Toast. They do breakfast all day.
Beverages include local beers on tap alongside the Snooze Sparkling, a light sparkling wine created by co-founder Jon Schlegel that comes from a blend of three varietals in Italy. Having it on tap means that in 2017, they saved 130,988 bottles from going to the landfill.
Other sustainability efforts include eliminating plastic straws, serving coffee in reusable mugs while you wait, and diverting 85-90 percentage of their waste by recycling and composting where facilities exist.
Each Snooze location also has a "Green Captain," who leads all staffers through a 12-month green educational program. Ooooh lecturing other people about straws, where do you apply for that.
Snooze first entered Texas in 2016 with a branch in Austin, and they've since opened locations in Houston and San Antonio. There's another location in the works in Dallas, in the Oak Lawn neighborhood, opening in late 2018 or early 2019; and at the Left Bank mixed-use development in Fort Worth.
