Breakfast restaurant with boffo brunch brings the bacon to Casa Linda Plaza
Hugely popular breakfast restaurant Snooze an A.M. Eatery continues its worldwide domination of the Dallas area with another new location on the books. The chain will open a location in East Dallas' Casa Linda Plaza, with an opening penciled in for 2020.
The restaurant will go into the southwest corner of the intersection, in the same center as Natural Grocers and the new Ulta Beauty Supply store.
UPDATE 4-9-2021: Snooze pulled out of the space which is now home to a location of Ellen's, the Dallas-based chain.
--------------------------------------------------------
This will be the fourth Dallas location for Snooze, following outlets at Addison, The Hill on Walnut Hill Lane, and Oak Lawn Avenue; there's also a location in Fort Worth.
A spokesperson for the chain confirms that the restaurant is coming, but notes that it's a ways off.
"It is confirmed that we are planning to go in at Casa Linda, she says. "But we do not start construction until 2020 and plan to open mid- to late-summer 2020."
So let's not get too excited quite yet, even though Snooze is noted for its all-day breakfast, featuring the famous pineapple upside-down pancake and savory options such as Benedicts and "sammies."
Let's just stay chilled about the fact that, in addition to many pancakes, the menu has dishes such as the breakfast pot pie and the "chile verde Benny" with green chili-sauced tortillas, pulled pork or barbacoa-style beef, poached eggs, and green chili hollandaise.
They're big into Benedicts with six options. You can also order a Benedict duo or a flight of three pancakes in different flavors.
They're also known for "morning cocktails," including cocktails made with coffee, and Bloody Marys such as the one with bacon-infused Cyrus Noble Bourbon and house bloody mix.
Perhaps no neighborhood is more deserving of Snooze's inventive pancakes, bold twists on Benedicts, and creative brunch cocktails.
Local craft beers will be on tap including Deep Ellum Brewing, Bishop Cider Co., and Community Brewing.
Also on tap: Snooze's signature sparkling, which serves as the inspiration for brunch cocktails such as the Palomimosa, the Rummmosa, and any other mimosa-themed combo.
That intersection is definitely ripe for a decent breakfast place. There used to be a location of Another Broken Egg Cafe, another breakfast chain, across the street, but it closed. Many would say that is no surprise since Another Broken Egg Cafe is not the best. They're definitely no Snooze.
