Massive beer fest rocks this week's top Dallas food events
Is it just us, or does there seem to be a lot of beer and whiskey being consumed this week? On top of that, Chefs & Seeds is throwing an important party at 3015 Trinity Groves to benefit Seeds of Africa. Needless to say, it's a good week to be a hungry and thirsty in Dallas.
Wednesday, November 4
Chefs & Seeds at 3015 Trinity Groves
This second annual event benefits Seeds of Africa while giving Dallas a taste of some of the best cuisine in town. Enjoy chef tastings and music by DJ. Blake Ward and champagne and other spirits by Veuve Clicquot. Featured chefs include John Tesar (Knife), Omar Flores (Casa Rubia), Stephen Rogers (Gemma), Joel Harrington (Bolsa), and more. Tickets start at $50 and the event lasts from 7-10 pm.
Beer and Cheese Pairings at Peticolas Brewing Company
Guests will enjoy four beers paired with eight cheeses and a panel discussion for each. Tickets are $32.64 and the event kicks off at 6:30 pm. This event is limited to 50 people.

Vegan Harvest Holiday Dinner at Whole Foods Colleyville
This month's vegan gathering features a holiday harvest roast, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, cinnamon-dusted butternut squash, roasted Brussels sprouts, traditional cranberry sauce, mushroom sage gravy, and pumpkin cheesecake. Tickets start at $20 and the dinner commences at 6 pm.
Koval Whiskey Dinner at Victor Tangos
Chicago’s Koval Distillery and Victor Tangos have collaborated to create their own custom blend whiskey, which is now available at the restaurant. Executive chef Kirstyn Brewer prepares a four-course meal while Matt Ragan and Alex Diiming serve up the whiskey cocktails. Guests get to enjoy tastings of the Victor Tangos custom blend and each of the Koval single malts that went into it. Dinner is $75 and starts at 7 pm. To make reservations, call 214-252-8595.

Real Ale Beer and Cheese Pairing at Whole Foods Uptown
Taste four beers paired with a selection of Whole Foods cheeses that are picked by the store's certified cheese professionals. Tickets are $13.65 and the event starts at 6:30 pm.

Jester King Beer Breakfast at Meddlesome Moth
Try five Jester King beers with your four-course breakfast by chef Richard Graff. This interactive event is hosted by founder Jeffrey Stuffings and managing partner Ron Extract. Breakfast is $65 and starts at 10 am. To make a reservation, call 214-628-7900.
Untapped Festival at Fair Park
The 2015 Untapped Festival features a stellar lineup of music including The Flaming Lips, Dr. Dog, Cloud Nothings, Elle King, The Pharcyde, The Mowgli’s, Lights, Steve Gunn, UME, and Dallas local favorites Valise and Birds of Night. More than 100 breweries are also serving samples of over 400 craft beers. Tickets start at $39 and general admission can enter the festival beginning at 2:30 pm.

Irish Whiskey Tasting at The Dubliner
Enjoy four tastings of Irish whiskey paired with four small plates ... that are also made with whiskey! Courses include whiskey cheddar with crackers and spiced pecans, whiskey cured salmon, whiskey braised pork shank, and whiskey infused sticky toffee pudding. Dinner costs $25 and starts at 7 pm.
