There are some solid food events in Dallas this Thanksgiving week. Here's a little something to do before and after you eat your weight in turkey and mashed potatoes on Thursday.
Tuesday, November 21
Vegan Thanksgiving Feast at V Eats Modern Vegan
Get your hands on some delicious vegan Thanksgiving fare during this special menu offering. The festive menu includes vegan turkey pot pie, roasted vegan turkey, cauliflower steak, string bean casserole, three cheese mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, and more. Tickets are $25 for a plate or $75 for a to-go order for four people. Dinner is being served at 5, 6:15, and 7:30 pm.

Christmas Lights, Chocolate, and Sips Tour
Guests tour some of the most spectacular holiday displays in town (think Highland Park and Swiss Avenue Historic District) while tasting scrumptious treats from local dessert venues. There will be holiday music, hot chocolate, and more. This event continues through the holidays. Tickets are $43 and meet-up details are provided upon payment.
Saturday, November 25
Good Local Markets at White Rock Market
The Saturday after Thanksgiving is the ideal time to shop local and get healthy before the Christmas holiday takes over your diet. Check out vendors such as Tribal Juice, Alpha Omega Acres, Texas Hill Country Olive Oil, Larconi Herbs and Produce, and more. The market is free to attend and the shopping lasts from 8 am to 1 pm.
Brews & Lights Tour
Meet at Legal Draft Beer Company in Arlington for four pours and a souvenir pint glass. Then hop aboard the Brew Bird Bus for more brew and a chauffeured Christmas light tour of Prairie Lights drive-through park in Grand Prairie. Tickets are $50 and the fun starts at 5 pm. Choose from two dates — Saturday, November 25 and Sunday, November 26.

Uncommon Ramen Series at Top Knot
