Tuscan Wine Dinner at Dolce Riviera

The Ritz-Carlton Dallas will introduce a one-of-a-kind holiday experience when its enchanting 12 Days of Christmas Gingerbread Castle is unveiled for guests and the public, complete with refreshments and live entertainment. Crafted of gingerbread and requiring more than 48 chef-hours to bake, ice and assemble, the castle is made with approximately 180 pounds of powdered sugar, 110 pounds of fondant, 60 pounds of egg whites, 15 pounds of butter, and more. The event begins at 6 pm, and admission is free.

Friday Night Block Party at Rex's Seafood at the Market
Join your favorite Farmers Market seafood spot for music, games, drink specials, and plenty of food. There is an oyster happy hour from 3-7 pm featuring $1 Gulfs, $2 premiums, and $3 domestic beers. Live music will be performed from 6-9 pm. Admission is free.

Cooking Competition at Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden
Bragging rights are up for grabs at this cooking competition for novice chefs ages 15 and up. It will take place from 11:30 am-1 pm and is free to attend and participate in with a paid Arboretum admission. The competition takes place at the Test Pavilion at A Tasteful Place. Holiday Harvest Dinner at Salum
Dallas Uncorked presents its annual Holiday Harvest Dinner featuring the sparkling and still wines of Domaine Carneros with special guest, winemaker Eileen Crane. The evening benefits the Dallas Chapter of Les Dames d'Escoffier International and The Stewpot of Dallas. Tickets start at $110, and the evening kicks off at 7 pm.
