Dallas-Fort Worth sushi chain opens new restaurant in former Bennigan's

There's sushi headed for the mid-cities, with the opening a new location of DFW mini-chain Sushi Axiom. The restaurant will open in North Richland Hills, in an advantageously positioned spot at the intersection of SH-183 and I-820.
The restaurant will open at 8250 Bedford Euless Rd., in what used to be a Bennigan's. According to a spokesperson, the opening is targeted for January 2018.
Sushi Axiom opened its first location in Fort Worth in 2007, with an Asian fusion menu that includes sushi and other dishes. They combine a glitzy atmosphere with trendy rolls and a full bar that incorporates Japanese beer and sake.
Since 2007, the chain has since expanded, with six branches across Dallas-Fort Worth, including two in Dallas, two in Fort Worth, one in Allen, and one in Burleson.
Each location addresses its neighborhood with features such as the all-day happy hour on Sundays offered at the location on Henderson Avenue.
North Richland Hills fills an important geographical niche: It's the first to open in the mid-cities, whose shortage of places to eat is making it an increasingly appealing place to open restaurants.
Like the Burleson location, the NRH Sushi Axiom will combine sushi with a separate hibachi operation, featuring charbroiled beef, chicken, and shrimp.
"The hibachi is possible there because the building is bigger," the spokesperson says. They've been working on the location for nearly a year; other improvements include a splendid patio.
