Creative new BBQ restaurant in Dallas has it all: brisket and brunch
There's a new barbecue restaurant now open in Dallas not only with barbecue but also brunch: Called Barrel & Bones, it's part of a small (but growing!) chain with locations in The Colony and Carrollton, and is making its official Dallas debut near Galleria Dallas, at 12300 Inwood Rd. #130.
“We’re so excited to bring Barrel & Bones to a Dallas audience,” sayes partnering owner Stephen Arrant in a release. “We love the neighborhood we’re in and hope to bring back repeat customers after they see just how great our food is.”
Barrel & Bones serves favorites like smoked brisket, turkey, and sausage. But the menu goes beyond traditional barbecue with creative options like:
- Pork Belly Banh Mi
- Buffalo Deviled Eggs
- Mac & Cheese
- Smoked Prime brisket burgers
In celebration of this opening, chef Omar Adame has refreshed the menu with new selections like Stuffed Avocado, Brussels sprouts, Spicy Pastrami Brisket, sandwich, Smoked Beet Salad, and a Bootlegger Wedge.
Another point of distinction: They're a barbecue joint that serves brunch, with Pork Pibil Hash, Brisket Montecristo, Chicken & Waffles, and Migas Tacos.
Cocktails include the Bloody Barrel, which serves 3-4, and is a bloody mary with Tito’s Vodka, served in a barrel and garnished with pork spareribs, monster wings, sausage, onion rings, and fried okra.
"We’ve created a dining experience that, while comfortable, is so much more elevated than you’d find in an old-school barbecue cut line," Adame says.
Like all that is not enough, they have a big selection of bourbon and whiskey, beer, and cocktails like Your Grandma’s Paloma, a take on the paloma using Tito’s Vodka, plus multiple takes on the Old Fashioned.
The restaurant seats more than 70 and they're open for lunch at 11 am and stay open late: until midnight Sunday-Wednesday and 2 am Thursday-Saturday (the kitchen closes at 10 pm).
