National Teacher Appreciation Week at Whataburger
Whataburger will
honor the hard work of all school employees with free breakfast this week. Teachers and staff can show their school ID May 6-10 and score a free Taquito, Breakfast on a Bun, or Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit, and a WhataTeacher lanyard. The deal is available via dine-in or drive-through from 5–9 am at all locations. McDonald's of North Texas has also joined in, offering free breakfast combos to all teachers and school administrators from May 6-10 from 7-10:30 am.
Tuesday, May 7
Valdicava Wine Dinner at Stillwell’s
Stillwell’s is Hotel Swexan’s fine dining restaurant, and this Italian wine dinner will take place in its private room. Owner and producer of Valdicava di Montalcino, Pierfilippo Abruzzese, will fly in from Italy to share four reds over a four-course meal. The dinner is $295 plus tax and gratuity, and begins at 6:30 pm with a meet-and-greet champagne reception.

Spring Festa at Eataly
The Italian gourmet market will host a walk-around tasting event featuring at least eight chef-curated, spring-inspired dishes and more than 20 wines to try. Stations will include spring pea and lemon ricotta ravioli, house-made porchetta with mint pesto, seafood salad, limoncello tiramisu, and more. Tickets are $55, and the party will run from 5-8 pm.
Meet The Winemaker at Knife Plano
Knife Plano steakhouse is hosting an exclusive happy hour starring winemaker Michael Davies of Rex Hill Winery, who will guide you through a tasting tour of wines including Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and a selection of Pinot Noirs. Reservations not required. 4-6 pm. 214-299-5943.

Boots, Bourbon & Brunch at Haywire
A new brunch series kicks off this Saturday featuring experiences at restaurants across Legacy West, starting with the Texas-themed Haywire. The $75 per person ticket includes a welcome cocktail, brunch buffet, a complimentary Garrison Brothers old fashioned, DJ music, temporary tattoo bar, a hat bar, and more. Menu items will include chicken and waffles, short rib chilaquiles, cinnamon roll crust pecan pie, and traditional breakfast items. Brunch will run from 11 am–2 pm.
Hands-On Cheesemaking Class at The Mozzarella Company
Make fresh ricotta, queso Oaxaca, and mozzarella balls during this hands-on class that will end with a wine and cheese pairing. The class also includes a behind-the-scenes tour of The Mozzarella Company. Class is $85 per person and will run from 12-2 pm.
