Fanzo Sports Bar in Frisco to open with upscale Indian twist and famed chef

Fanzo coming to Frisco soono.
A new sports bar is coming to Frisco with a notable chef: Called Fanzo Sports Bar, it'll be located at 5977 Preston Rd. Retail Bldg 1, in a shopping center north of Lebanon Road, where it will open in early 2024.
FANZO Sports Bar offers sports fans in North Texas a fun, energetic and sophisticated environment to cheer on their favorite team while indulging in local and craft beers, handcrafted cocktails and refined American bar food with an eclectic and globally-inspired twist
According to a release, the concept is from Fanzo Hospitality Group, and will feature nice design: leather furniture, mezzanine lounge, and numerous screens including a 20-foot-high video wall behind the bar, as well as a covered outdoor patio with two 65-inch TVs and seating for nearly 40.
But for foodie purposes, probably the biggest news is that the menu of eclectic and globally-inspired flair will be from famed chef Vijay Sadhu, a foodie favorite whose resume includes Samar By Stephan Pyles, Sutra, Pepper Smash Cocktail Kitchen, and many more.
Menu items include
- Jamaican Lamb Shank Stew with rice and crispy fried onions
- Fried Chicken with tikka masala sauce and spicy fries
- Old Monk Rum Bread Pudding with candied pecans and vanilla ice cream
The beverage program is a collaboration between Sadhu and mixologist Brian McCullough and will incorporate classic and craft cocktails, including a Green Goddess with mezcal, cucumber puree, ancho chiles; the Golden Lassi with Lockwood pineapple rum, turmeric syrup, mango puree, coconut yogurt, and bubbles; and vodkas infused with spices from around the world.
“Sports fans are not a monolith, and we wanted to create a concept that reflected that diversity,” says Chef Vijay Sadhu. “Fanzo offers an elegant and lively atmosphere boasting a menu that diverges from the ordinary offerings of a typical sports bar. We knew Frisco would be an ideal place for us to establish ourselves and are excited to be a part of this vibrant community.”
